Lockdown : Ogun mobile court sentences 67 to four hours community service

67 persons have been sentenced to four hours community service by a mobile court sitting in Abeokuta on Saturday for violating the COVID -19 stay home order by the state government.

In a statement issued on Saturday made available to Oguninsight.com

It was gathered that the convicted were among the 103 persons violators arrested at Lafenwa and Ita Oshin areas of Abeokuta by the security taskforce which included the police , TRACE, VIO and NSCDC.

Magistrate Jide Ilo, who presided over the cases gave N1, 000 and N2, 000 fine to 33 persons while three persons were discharged for genuine reasons.

The convicted violators who could not pay for fine were ordered to sweep the floor,pick up refuse and cut grasses for four hours.
