The Leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) from Oke Ogun Community of Abeokuta North Local government on Thursday at Ibara Orile affirmed the Chairman of Transition commitee in the Local government, Prince Babatunde Tella as Chairman of Oke Ogun Community for the party.
The leaders who were more than 50 in attendance from four Wards in Oke Ogun nominated and Confirmed Prince Tella as Chairman of the Community in a meeting conveyed by the Consultant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on media, Prince Ifekayode Akinbode from Ibara Orile and Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Lands, Hon. Remi Oluwaniyi from Isaga/Ilewo Orile ward.
In the Opening remarks, Prince Ifekayode called for unity among the people of the Community. He emphasized that more appointments should be given to Oke Ogun son and daughters by the State government.
Chairman, transition commitee, Prince Tunde Tella used the opportunity to highlight all the 21 projects that had been executed by his commitee in the whole Local government.
Leaders from Olorunda/Ijale ward condemned the attitudes of strangers and politicians from outside who used to claim their ward for Political benefits to desist from such act. Mrs. Obasami Funke emphasized such Political claim had happened in the ward in past while people opposed it.
Leaders were urged to safeguard their towns and villages from stranger who could claim their Political benefits and went back after realizing their ambition.
Mr. Ayo Oluajo was also elected as Secretary, former Leader of Oke Ogun Local council development area, Hon. Abiola Adio was elected as Treasurer, Hon. Wale Ojelabi as P.R.O.
